Introducing Jonathan, a 52-year-old father of two who works as the Managing Director for a worldwide banking company. Jonathan has been fat and has chronic knee problems as a result of considerable foreign travel, significant leadership pressure, and a lack of accessible time. He had previously tried several different forms of exercise; however, none had produced lasting results. After working with a personal trainer in Dubai who developed an individualized plan based on Jonathan’s specific lifestyle characteristics all of that changed.
The cumulative result of sedentary work at a desk, having to travel so frequently, and always being under stress has caused him to gain excessive weight and deteriorate overall health through the years.
Because of his chronic knee problems, he has very few options to exercise and therefore does not enjoy training and feels no incentive to train regularly.

Step 1: The Initial Consult This initial consultation is about understanding an individual as a person, not merely as numbers; this is the very first building block to a successful body transformation in Dubai. Jonathan and I sat down and talked about his goals, timeframe for achieving those goals, previous injuries, medical history and how his business travel schedule will impact his ability to achieve his transformation goals. In light of Jonathan’s very busy travel schedule, a tailored approach was developed to support him in achieving his goals.
Step 2:The results that I gathered were taken from our second workout together. As Jonathan was a client of mine, I evaluated his movement patterns, any compensations he displays, and joint stability; while primarily focusing on his knee joints. In addition to understanding each baseline’s strength level; we were able to determine functional movements that would promote an increase in muscle mass; while at the same time limiting the stress that would be placed on the joint area’s. Each of these functional movement patterns has been based on proven techniques and biomechanical principles.
Step 3: Exercise, Health, and Commitment Jonathan received some excellent individual coaching in Dubai where we implemented a complete assessment-based performance system as his personalized trainer, Jonathan was given a customized nutrition program based on his activity level, a customized strength training and conditioning program, and a program that would assist him with rest and recovery through good sleep and other healthy lifestyle changes. Additionally, Jonathan was provided with continuous day-to-day assistance as well as weekly updates via our online application from his coach/ trainer; the combination of all this constitutes more than just a “program”, it truly represents a partnership through coaching.
